This is $60+ anywhere else, if you can find it. The oldest Zoroastrian religious scripture, handed down from ancient times, is the Avesta. Thus here we have the oldest monotheistic scripture known to man, as Zoastrianism is the oldest monotheistic religion we know of, that being the Religion of Persia & Cyrus the Great. Long before Cyrus, there was a man named Zarath from which the Persians got their religion. All I’ll say is Zarath was more Christian than Jewish. It’s very interesting to study what had so great an impact on Greek culture, as they consider Zarath the first of anyone who could be called philosopher, though he was long gone before anyone used such a term. And we know how much time the Jews spent at the heights of the Persian empire, thus Judaism was incredibly influenced by it. Many in Iran, an incredible number, practice this faith to this day; a faith more Christian than Judaism or Islam.
All students figure out that God didn’t exclusively prophecy of His coming through the Jews, a fact Jews don’t want any Christian to ever know. But James & John, they were the sons of Thunder you know? One section of the is known as the “Khordeh Avesta” or “Smaller (i.e. Selected) Avesta”. This is the book of daily prayers of the Zoroastrians, including the most sacred prayers or manthras, as well as graces said over meals and other occasions, prophecies, and hymns. It’s a cherished possession of devout Zoroastrians who still recite their prayers in the language known as Avestan. The celebrated Avesta scholar (Ervad) Kavasji Edulji Kanga prepared an edition of this book in 1880 A.D., with Gujarati translation. An English edition was first printed in 1993, which has become very scarce. Due to the popularity of Kanga’s editions, and the accuracy of its pronunciation, this new printed edition was prepared, correcting the frequent printer’s errors found in the 1993 edition.
