THE FIRST ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF ERASMUS’ COMMENTARY ON THE BIBLE, BY COMMAND OF KING EDWARD VI
The History of this FIRST TRANSLATION
Both Tyndale and Erasmus died in 1536 AD. You know the story, Tyndale’s last words, a prayer of prophecy, “Lord please open King Henry VIII’s eyes!”. Indeed, Henry VIII did have a change of heart to go on to authorize the 1537 Matthew’s Bible within a year of Tyndale’s death, as well as giving Coverdale full license. This did not come without sacrifice. Henry having decided to fight the good fight, and defend God’s people, as has been long tradition for Kings to do in England going all the way back to Constantine’s own father, trained his own son in the right way. Prince Edward VI, Henry’s last surviving son, was crowned King at 9 years old. The Noble young lad reigned for 6 years; from 1547-1553 AD. Twas he who ordered that not only the Bible of the Martyr be put into every single church in England, but also that the commentary of Erasmus’ on the NT be translated into english and put in there as well. This order of the young King is the exact facsimile Photo Copy I sell you today.
This young lad had commanded that his good Christian family member be his sucessor, but the noble young King of legends was poisoned to death by Mary, & she stole the Kingdom. Bloody Mary. Like I said, Henry VIII’s redemption wasn’t without sacrifice. Twas Coverdale who undertook the translating of Erasmus Commentary in obediance to the young King’s God given command. Coverdale, one of Tyndale’s closest friends. He & John Rogers worked together closely with Tyndale for years. The Matthew’s Bible was John Rogers taking all Tyndale had translated of the Old Testament in prison before he died, putting Coverdale’s translation in the last parts Tyndale had no chance to Translate; & that put with Tyndale’s most current NT. So the 1537 “John Matthew’s” Bible is the final work of Tyndale, the peak of the Reformation really. The Bible with the most of Tyndale’s translated material that he translated himself under inspiration. It also be the only English Bible that’s signed in blood, & that not by the blood of only one faithful witness, but two, for John Rogers wouldn’t stop producing Tyndale’s work, & so they put him down just before the Geneva United Nations abomination that is the KJV.
See, Geneva marked the end of the age when any man paid to translate the English Bible, & the beginning of when all get paid to do it. Note, Erasmus was expert in the Greek, but Luther was the expert in Hebrew. Everyone relied on him in such matters. Very acquainted with the Jews was he, being in Germany & all. Coverdale translated Martin Luther’s Translation into English. So the Matthew’s Bible is the Bible of the faithful 3-4 witnesses. The sum of (Erasmus, Luther, Tyndale, Rogers, & Coverdale). So 5? The Great Bile that Young Noble King Edward VI commanded be in every church along with Erasmus’ Commentary, that was Coverdale’s finishing touches on the 1537 Matthew’s Bible. It is the Matthew’s Bible. He only tweaks some of his errors. No, Geneva was the great change to the Bible of the Martyrs. The Martyr who insisted on the word “Love”, & not the word “Charity”, as Tyndale wrote an entire piece defending his rendering of “Love” for the Greek word “Agape”, saying that “every english speaker bares witness that “love” is the proper rendering.”
Twas of Latin tradition & desire to obscure clear understanding that he was criticized for “Love”. And what do they do at Geneva UN Convention of international interests, the great enemy to the reformation that swept in at the end for damage control? They spit in the martyrs face and change it to “Charity”, which be the biggest credible argument against the KJV to this day! And the defenders of KJV say that it was old English, that the meaning changed; but Tyndale calls them all liars! Those who think to be honoring the prophets be the very same who’s fathers killed the prophets. For all the same arguments were used against Tyndale & Erasmus, “Jerome’s translation has blessed people for hundreds of years. You don’t think God’s capable of preserving His Word? Who are you?!?” And now you know why Wycliffe died at a ripe old age, and Tyndale a spotless lamb in the peak of his life; Wycliffe wasn’t correcting the trusted Bible.
Now when I say, “they” concerning the Geneva translation of abomination, I mean John Calvin, & Calvin only. That dirty Frenchman. The Geneva is the KJV. That’s his bible. They invited protestants to Geneva to give the state sponsored Bible credibility, but twas Calvin’s way or the highway on what went in, or more historically accurate: it was his way or the burned at the stake by his Geneva inquisition way. Calvin, the prince of that great city, that international city of Geneva.
Google it. He killed a man for his liberty of conscience during this decade long spitting on the martyrs process. Of his soon to be murdered victim Calvin said, “If he comes to Geneva, he will not leave here alive”, & true to his dirty french word, he had his inquisition burn him at the stake because the man had a difference of opinion concerning the nature of God. Now of course this Bible was never popular in England because they knew it was a UN dirty Frenchman Bible. And so a generation later, they get the English to swallow the UN Bible through the KJV. Anyone who’s read these bible’s knows that the 47 people for 7 years going hard is a laughable joke. Twas simply the Geneva without the commentary. To this day, you wont find greater change made to the english bible between any translation, than between the Bible of the English Martyrs, and the Geneva UN Bible headed by the Frenchman, the opposite of an English bible. Yea, the Geneva was outlawed in England to make it seem as if the KJV was competing with it, but it was competing with the Bible of the Martyrs that were outlawed too, and so this is how the Pope got the English to swallow his Bible.
I say the Pope because Charles I of France, AKA Charlemagne, was the one who created the 1st God King Pope of Rome in 800AD, but that’s another story. To make it short, France & the pagan Franciscans that took over the church of Rome to make it persecute Christians, have always been one & the same. Yea, those Franciscans who became the Jesuits. In the 1800s, Jewish British Prime Minister Benjamin boasted that the first Jesuits were Jews. Google it. A union made in hell. Jews persecuting Christians, I think I read that in a book somewhere… That’s right, the New Testament! Constantine & his Father believed in Freedom of conscience and defended it. They made scripture available to all, and the Bishops were equal to each other. They represented their respective populations just as in the bible, (“Bishop=Elder”-Tyndale). Bishops had no state power. England’s Kings argument, & the martyrs too, was that this new abomination that was made official in “1356AD” with the “Holy Roman Sea/Empire’s” 1st ever constitution, “THE GOLDEN BULL”; That this church was a fraud & had no sovereign right to anything. They’re the ones Constantine and Augustine defeated to found Christendom, not the ones who founded it. That these people are the pagans Augustine fought and warned us about MANY TIMES.
During the time of the Reformation, they’d long banned Augustine’s writings. Erasmus, Tyndale, Luther, & the rest all translated Augustine’s writings and spoke of him much as their defense. So the fact the Catholic church holds Augustine up as their greatest saint today, is proof that there was real reformation.
Tyndale didn’t believe in separation, else he wouldn’t have died, nor did Christ, else He wouldn’t have died by His own. Tyndale said, “I’m not going anywhere until death do us part”, and so we saw when the curtain rent after Christ died, only then was the marriage annulled. That’s the biblical standard for divorce. We aren’t to separate or give up on our own, such a man is worse than an infidel and has denied the faith. Christ began in his own house first, his own little town first, and they had to try to stone Him before He gave up, & then it was Jerusalem. Christ obviously enjoyed the Gentiles much more, & constantly complained of the Jews always needing a sign, and laughing Him to scorn, etc. But even though the Gentiles deserved His effort more, He had a duty to his own house first, & so even though he enjoyed the woman who prepares him a table, food, and a stool for His feet, He refused to give up on his own, & went to the Temple He wasn’t very welcomed at, & the feasts that He despised. Because it’s His right, & nobody has a better chance at changing the heart of someone than the people who they know. This is why if you’re born of a denomination, you shouldn’t leave or give up on them because you’re right, lest you be wrong. Nay, not until they throw you out, for you are more able than anyone to reach them, for you know your own people. Let no man say that a people or a day or a food will defile him. It is the man who neglects those of his own house who is filthy, not clean. His righteousness makes him filthy, not clean.

Concerning Constantine, that’s right, the seed of Christendom came from those Islands not once, but twice now. The first time from Yorkshire. The boy was raised a Christian, and his purpose from the beginning was to conquer in order to free the Christians. He didn’t just decide to be one in the middle of his conquering & biblical victories. Nobody harbored safety for the Christians except for in Isles, and the walls had been closing in on his father, king of the West, for a long time.
